How to use the Eco-Rider in Gigwell
The Eco-Rider 2.0 is enabled by default on your account and is available whenever you create a new contract.
1 . On the template selection screen, click the “Add Eco-Rider” button.
2. You can then choose one of the three available options:
Low Touch
The foundational sustainability commitment. Focuses on eliminating single-use plastics, responsible sourcing (fair trade, no palm oil), basic waste diversion, and minimizing unnecessary printing—without adding operational or policy requirements for the venue.
Mid Touch
Builds on Low Touch by adding operational sustainability actions: local and seasonal catering, reduced water use, energy-efficient transport, and thoughtful accommodation choices—introducing venue-level responsibility while remaining practical to implement.
All-In
The most comprehensive tier. Includes everything in Low + Mid Touch, plus formal sustainability policies, biodiversity planning, renewable energy prioritization, sustainable merchandise production, public transparency, and active carbon compensation investments—positioning the event as a sustainability leader.
3. Select the version you want to attach and generate the contract as usual.
Disable for Your Organization
As an organization owner, you can disable the Eco-Rider from the Enabled Features settings.
