Understanding Promoter Revenue Share vs. Total on the Offer Sheet

Why the Total on your offer sheet can look higher than the Promoter Revenue Share.

Written by Antonio Sierra

On an offer sheet, two figures can look like they don't add up: Rev to Share (Promoter Revenue Share) and Total.

What each figure means

  • Rev to Share is only the overage — the amount above the guarantee that's split between the artist and the promoter.

  • Total is the flat guarantee plus that overage.

Why the Total can look high

On a guarantee-versus deal, the Total includes the full guarantee as well as the overage, so it will always be larger than Rev to Share. This is expected, not an error.
