Embeddable Gigstream

Instructions on how to embed a Gig Stream on your website.

Written by Antonio Sierra

Embed you Gigstream on a website!

The Gigstream contains all your confirmed and published upcoming events and can be limited to specific artists by selecting them in the drop down.

You can choose from a Table or List format where fields can be customized. All themes look & feel are customizable using the Styling settings.

To customize the fields, click the toggle to enable it and you can rename the field by double clicking the Display Label text. The Placeholder can be used to display custom text if no value is found and you can rearrange the fields by using drag and drop.

To grab the embed code of the Gig Stream, go to Settings > Embed > Gig Stream > Code. Copy the code and paste it on your website. You can also limit the Gigstream to a specific artist.

Add Ticket and RSVP Links to the Gig Stream

To add ticket and RSVP links to the Gig Stream, go to Events > Tickets & Merch, add the links in the Ticket and RSVP fields and click save when finished.

Shows not publishing to your tour page

Publishing to a third-party event listing service isn't instant, and it only happens for events that have reached the right status. Work through these checks in order before assuming something is wrong.

Check these in order

  1. Confirm the booking status. Only events that are both Confirmed and Announced publish. A pending or held date won't go out, however long you wait.

  2. Check the announce setting on the booking. The booking needs to be set to announce on confirmation. If it was confirmed while that was off, switch it on and save.

  3. Wait the full 24 hours. Publication can take up to a day from the moment the event is confirmed and announced. If you confirmed it this morning, it's too early to troubleshoot.

  4. Compare the artist name on both sides. The artist name in Gigwell must match the name on the listing service exactly — same spelling, same capitalisation, including any country or region suffix. A near-match won't connect the two records.

  5. Check publishing is switched on in the artist's profile on the listing service. Third-party event publishing is a setting in that service's own account, not in Gigwell. If it's off, nothing appears.

  6. Re-save the profile on the listing service. Opening the artist's profile there and saving it again often re-triggers publication for dates that are already eligible.

If that doesn't work

If everything above checks out and more than 24 hours have passed with no dates appearing, start a chat from the messenger. Have ready: the artist name exactly as it appears on your roster, the artist name as it appears on the listing service, and the date of one event that should have published. We have a direct line to the listing partners and can pick it up from there.

Good to know

This is the most common thing to break after a rebrand or a name change. If the name changed on one side and not the other, publishing quietly stops without any error.

If your own website shows dates through an embedded Gigwell roster rather than a third-party service, that's separate and isn't affected by any of the above — though it also only shows Confirmed and Announced dates.

Fixing events missing from an artist's public listing

If events you've confirmed in Gigwell aren't appearing on an artist's third-party listing or ticketing page, work through these checks in order. Almost every case comes down to event status, timing, or a name that doesn't match on both sides.

Check these in order

  1. Check the event status. Only events that are both Confirmed and Announced publish. An event still in a pending or held state won't sync, no matter how long you wait.

  2. Give it about 24 hours. Syncing isn't instant. If you've just confirmed or announced the event, wait a full day before troubleshooting further.

  3. Compare the artist's name on both sides. The name in Gigwell must match the name on the listing service exactly — same spelling, same capitalisation, and including any country or region suffix. A near-match won't link the records.

  4. Check the artist's own settings on the listing service. Third-party publishing has to be switched on by the artist in their own account on that service. If it's off, events won't appear even when everything on the Gigwell side is correct.

If that doesn't work

If the events are Confirmed and Announced, the names match exactly, more than 24 hours have passed, and third-party publishing is enabled, start a chat from the messenger and we'll take a look.

Good to know

This is the most common thing to break after a rebrand. If the artist's name changed on one platform and not the other, the sync quietly stops — see the article on changing an artist's name for how the Gigwell side gets updated and what to have ready.

If your artist's own website shows their dates through an embedded Gigwell roster rather than a third-party listing service, that's a different thing entirely and isn't affected by any of the above. Only Confirmed and Announced dates appear publicly there too, though.
