Updated this week

We’ve added a new Manage Security tab in your account settings to give you more control over how you protect your Gigwell account. With this update, you can now choose between using a standard password or enabling Google Authentication (2FA) for stronger security.

✨ What’s New

  • A new "Manage Security" section in your account settings

  • The option to enable Google Authentication (2FA)

  • The ability to disable your standard password once 2FA is enabled

  • A clearer overview of your connected Google account

πŸ› οΈ How to Access Security Settings

  1. Click on your name in the top-right corner of the platform and click Settings.

  2. Click the Settings button on the left-side box where you access your user settings

  3. Select Manage Security from the left-side menu.

  4. From here, you can toggle on/off the following options:

    • Enable Password – Set or change your standard password.

    • Enable Google Authentication – Use your Google account for secure login.

βœ… Recommended Setup for Stronger Security

We recommend disabling the password login option once Google Authentication is enabled. This ensures your account is protected by Google’s secure 2FA process, minimizing the risk of unauthorized access.

To do this:

  1. Enable Google Authentication and connect your Google account.

  2. Confirm that your account shows as CONNECTED.

  3. Toggle off the password option, then click Save.

πŸ” Switching Back

If you ever need to revert to password login, simply return to the Manage Security tab, re-enable the password option, and set a new password.
