Customize and Embed your Roster on your Website

Share a link or copy the embed code for your roster, with or without a tag filter, and choose how the embedded roster looks.

Written by Antonio Sierra

You can share your public roster as a link or embed it on your own website. You can also share a roster filtered by tag, or just one artist's profile.

Share or embed your roster

  1. Click Roster in the top navigation.

  2. Optional: click a tag on any card to filter the roster first (for example, only your DJs).

  3. Click the Share icon next to your roster name. The Share Roster popover opens.

  4. Under Embed Setting, pick the embed setting to use (for example, Website 1).

  5. Under Filter, check the tags. If you filtered the roster in step 2, that tag is already filled in. Add or remove tags to change which artists are shown.

  6. Use the buttons next to the link:

    • Copy copies the link so you can paste it into an email or message.

    • Preview (the eye icon) opens the shared roster so you can check it.

    • Embed code (the </> icon) shows the code for your website.

Add the embed code to your website

  1. In Share Roster, click Embed code (</>).

  2. Pick the tab for your website: DEFAULT, WORDPRESS or SQUARESPACE AJAX.

  3. Click the copy icon in the code box.

  4. Paste the code into the HTML of your website page where you want the roster to appear.

If you set a filter, the embed code includes it, so your website shows only those artists. Want one page per genre or region? Create a separate embed code for each tag.

Change how the embedded roster looks

  1. Go to Settings → Embed → Roster.

  2. Under Embed Setting, pick the embed you want to change (for example, Website 1). Each embed setting has its own look, so you can give each website its own style.

  3. On the ROSTER tab, choose a Style for Grid View and for List View: Cards, Circle Images, Square Images or Custom Images. Use Is Default View to pick which view visitors see first.

  4. Check the live preview on the right as you go. It updates right away, and the icons at the top switch it between grid and list. (The preview shows on large screens.)

  5. Click SAVE.

Once the code is on your website, changes to that embed setting show up there automatically, so you don't need to paste new code.

Use the new card style

The Cards style matches the cards on your roster page in Gigwell: a photo with details under the artist's name. Your existing embeds keep their current style until you switch them to Cards.

When you pick Cards, you get these extra options:

  • Min card width, Max card width, Card spacing and Card border radius (all in px)

  • Tag style: Pills or Text

  • Card lines: switch on up to 3 of Tags, Genres, Labels and Location, and drag them into order. Show Tags and Genres on one line puts both on a single line.

Share a single artist's profile

On the roster, click the ⋮ on the artist's card, then Share. You can also open the artist and click the Share icon next to their name.

For the full embed pages, open the artist and look under EMBEDS in the sidebar (Gigstream and Profile), or use More → Embed Gigstream or Embed Profile on the card's ⋮ menu.

Good to know

  • The tag filter on the roster page isn't saved in the page address. To share a filtered roster, use Share, which keeps the filter.

  • Only artists that are visible on your public roster appear in the shared roster. To change this, open the artist, click Roster Settings and switch Visible on Roster on or off. For several artists at once, use Manage Roster → select the artists → VISIBLE ON ROSTER.

  • To group artists for filtered rosters, see Segmenting your Roster Using Tags.

  • GoDaddy Website Builder might not support some features of the embed.
