When you stop representing an artist, you can take them off your roster yourself. This is separate from removing an artist from a specific booking — if that's what you need, see the article on removing an artist from a booking.
Remove the artist from your roster
Go to Settings.
Open Roster.
Find the artist in the roster list.
Deactivate or remove the roster entry.
Deactivating keeps the artist's history in place while taking them out of your active roster and off your public embedded roster. Removing takes the entry out entirely. If you're unsure, deactivate — it's the reversible option.
Good to know
Removing a roster entry doesn't touch existing bookings. Confirmed dates, contracts, invoices and settlements for that artist stay exactly as they are, and you can still report on them.
It also doesn't delete the artist's contact card. That's intentional — contact records are shared across every booking they appear on, so they stay put. Don't delete the contact card as a tidy-up step; the deletion is not cleanly reversible.
If the artist has outstanding dates you also need to cancel or hand over, sort those bookings out before you deactivate, so you're not hunting for them afterwards on an inactive roster entry.
If you have duplicate roster entries for the same artist — a common leftover after a rebrand — don't remove one to fix it. Merging duplicate artist records needs our team, so start a chat from the messenger and we'll sort it out.
If you're removing the artist because they rebranded rather than because you've parted ways, you probably want a rename instead. See the article on changing an artist's name.
