Calendar View and Settings

Overview of the Calendar View features including Day, Week, Month, and Year views with filtering options.

Written by Antonio Sierra

The calendar tab will give you a high level overview of all your active bookings (confirmed and tentative), holds, and blocked dates.

Easily change the calendar view to Day, Week, Month, or Year

You can customize the blocked list with your own personal reasons and colors.

You can also filter the view by one or multiple artists ("all" or "any"), blocked reasons, booking statuses, date, location(s), availability and more.

You can create a region by adding multiple countries and saving them as a filter. This way you'll be able to see the artists that are traveling in a specific region.

Calendar Year View and Settings

  • Year Views: You can now see your entire year at a glance! Choose from three different view options: Scroll, Grid, or List. This makes it a breeze to find historical bookings or spot open dates for tour routing.
There is a limit of 500 bookings for these view, so make sure to apply filters if your agency has a lot of bookings.

  • List View for Week & Month: In addition to the year view, we’ve added the List View option to both Week and Month views for more flexible navigation.

New Settings for Buyer Company Name & Deal Phrase: To make it even easier to track and filter historical fees, we’ve introduced new settings that display the Buyer’s Company Name and Deal Phrase in the calendar. This allows you to quickly pull up relevant bookings using filters in the Year List View.

When using the Year List view, we limit the view to 500 events. Please make sure you use your filters to make sure the events render. The most common filters to use are artist, venue, buyer, or city/state/country

Troubleshooting a frozen or crashing calendar

There are two different pages people mean by "the calendar", and they fail for different reasons. Work out which one you're on first, because the fix is completely different.

If it's the Calendars settings page

This is the page at Settings > Calendar & Templates > Calendars, where you link and unlink calendars. It draws a row for every artist on your roster, so on a large roster it can stall while it tries to render the whole list.

  1. Open Settings > Calendar & Templates > Calendars.

  2. Instead of scrolling the list, type the artist's name into the search box at the top.

  3. Work with the single result that comes back.

Searching rather than scrolling avoids the stall entirely, and you can link and unlink normally from the filtered result.

If it's the main Calendar tab

Freezes here are almost always browser-side rather than anything in your account.

  1. Switch the Calendar tab to week view. Month and list views draw far more at once.

  2. Close other browser tabs, especially anything heavy left open in the background.

  3. Clear your browser's cache and cookies for the Gigwell site, then sign back in.

  4. Turn off ad blockers and browser extensions for the Gigwell site and reload.

  5. Restart the browser completely and try again.

If that doesn't work

Try the same view in a different browser. If it behaves there, the problem is with your original browser's profile, and clearing its cache again — or using a fresh profile — usually settles it.

If you've cleared cache and it still freezes, start a chat from the messenger. Tell us which browser and version you're on, which of the two pages is affected, and which view mode the Calendar tab was in. A screenshot of the frozen view helps a lot.

Good to know

Your view preference — month, week, list — is stored in your own browser, so it doesn't follow you to another computer and it isn't something that can be reset for you from our end. Switching it yourself is the fastest fix.

If your roster is large enough that the Calendars page won't render at all, even with search, start a chat and we can link the calendar for you.
