Seats and billing for new users

How many seats am I paying for, and will adding a user charge me?

Written by Antonio Sierra

Every agency team member uses a paid seat on your plan. Artist members don't — they're free. This covers how to see your seat count and what happens to billing when you add or remove somebody.

Check your seats

  1. Go to Settings → Manage Subscription.

  2. Your plan shows the number of seats you're paying for.

  3. Open the Agents tab to see who's currently occupying them.

Active members use a seat. Deactivated members don't.

What changes your bill

  • Adding a member uses a seat, and a pro-rated charge applies for the remainder of your current billing period. The amount depends on your plan and where you are in the cycle — your Manage Subscription page is the place to check it, or message us from the messenger and we'll confirm it before anything changes.

  • Deactivating a member frees their seat at no cost. Nothing is charged, and the seat becomes available immediately.

  • Swapping one person for another costs nothing as long as you deactivate first and then add. See the article on removing and replacing a team member.

Good to know

  • Seats cover agency users only. Artist Owners, Artist Management, Artist Members, Artist Associates and Artist Affiliates are unlimited and free — they're attached to one artist on your roster.

  • A seat may cover the core suite only rather than every add-on product, depending on your plan. Worth checking before you assume a new user gets everything you have.

  • An agent can't be listed or named on bookings without a paid seat. There's no free "name only" option.

  • If you want somebody to read figures without a seat, a saved report under Reports filtered to what they need is often a better fit than another user.

  • If you'd like to change your seat count on the plan itself rather than just add one person, message us from the messenger and we'll take care of it.
