Venue roster: adding and managing your venues

Add your venues to Gigwell, find them fast, and keep each venue's details, assets and calendar in one place.

Written by Antonio Sierra

If your Talent Buyer account has the venue roster, every venue you book for gets its own card and its own page in Gigwell. This article shows you how to find, add and manage your venues.

Find your venues

With the venue roster on, the top menu shows Venues and Artists instead of Roster. Click Venues to see your venue roster.

  • Venue cards show details under each venue's name, such as capacity (for example "453 cap"), location and tags. You choose which details show in Roster Settings.

  • Search: type in the Search venues, tags... box to find venues by name, location or tag.

  • Grid or list: use the two icons next to the search box. Gigwell remembers your choice.

  • More options: the ⋮ menu at the top right has Manage Roster, Roster Settings, Sort Roster and Take the tour.

Open a venue's page

Click any venue card. The venue page opens on Preview Profile, and the sidebar lists every page for that venue:

  • Assets, Basic Info, Preview Profile, Edit Profile, Roster Settings and Remove from Roster

  • INTEGRATIONS: Google Calendar

  • OTHER: Manage Roster

Basic Info also shows the venue's Linked Google Contact, with an Unlink link.

To move between venues, use the ‹ › buttons at the top right, or press ← and → on your keyboard. Press Esc to close the page. The keys don't work while your cursor is in a text field.

Shortcut: each card has its own ⋮ menu that jumps straight to one of the venue's pages: Assets, Basic Info, Edit Profile, Roster Settings, and under More, Google Calendar and Remove from Roster.

For a venue's files, see Roster assets for Talent Buyer. For its calendar, see Venue Google Calendar.

Add a venue

  1. On the Venues page, click the Add Venue card at the end of the roster. You can also go to Manage Roster and click ADD VENUE.

  2. Start typing the venue's name in Venue Name. Pick the venue from the Google suggestions to fill in its name and address automatically.

  3. Add any other details you want: Add Address, Add Email, Add Phone, Add Venue Capacity, and a square Venue Image.

  4. If the venue is already one of your contacts, find it in the Your Contacts panel on the right and click Use.

  5. Click ADD VENUE.

Can't add another venue? If you've reached the number of venues your plan includes, the dialog tells you so. Contact support to raise the limit: message us from the chat bubble or email support@gigwell.com.

Deactivate or remove a venue

  • Deactivate a venue you don't book right now. It stays in Gigwell with its details, and you can activate it again later.

  • Remove from Roster takes the venue off your roster. If you only want to stop booking it for now, deactivate it instead.

Change several venues at once

  1. Click ⋮ > Manage Roster.

  2. Tick the venues you want to change, or tick Select all. The panel on the right shows how many are selected, with Select All and Unselect All links.

  3. Choose an action:

    • ACTIVATE or DEACTIVATE to update whether the selected venues are active.

    • REMOVE to remove the selected venues from the roster.

Want to limit which team members see bookings at which venues? See Venue roster settings. Our support team can help you set up restrictions.

Missing bookings at a venue?

If bookings at one of your venues seem to be missing, that venue may not be on your venue roster yet. Message us from the chat bubble or email support@gigwell.com. We can import the venues you've booked at before.

Tip: to replay the walkthrough of the venue roster, click ⋮ > Take the tour.

If something doesn't look right, message us from the chat bubble or email support@gigwell.com.
